Pattaya Travel Guide: Free Beach Jazz Festival Nov 6-7

By Nattapong Sukkasem ยท Published ยท Updated 2 November 2026

Pattaya Beach turns into an open-air concert hall on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November 2026, with two nights of free jazz, soul and funk on the sand and Kenny G closing the Saturday bill. Here is the full schedule, how to reach the beachfront, what to budget and what to do in Pattaya between sets.

If you are in Chon Buri this week, clear Friday and Saturday evening. The Pattaya International Jazz Festival 2026 takes over the central beachfront on 6 and 7 November, it runs from late afternoon until close to midnight, and every minute of it is free — which makes it the single best-value entry in this Pattaya travel guide for the whole of November. No ticket, no registration, no wristband. You walk onto the sand and sit down.

Pattaya City and the Chon Buri Provincial Administrative Organization confirmed the final line-up on 28 October and held their readiness meeting on 30 October. The theme this year is "Eco Jazz", with waste separation and recycling built into the site, and the slogan the city has gone with says most of it: "Feel the Jazz. Feel the Sea. Feel Pattaya."

The full line-up and set times

The food and drink zone opens at 16:00 on both days, and the music runs on a single beachfront stage facing the Gulf. Friday is the deeper, more experimental night; Saturday is the headline night.

Friday 6 November

Saturday 7 November

Two sets are worth planning around even if jazz is not usually your thing. The Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band on Friday at 19:30 plays Isaan molam — the hypnotic, bamboo-mouth-organ dance music of Thailand's north-east — rewired for a festival stage, and it is one of the easiest ways into contemporary Thai culture you will find on a beach. And on Saturday at 22:00, Kenny G closes the festival; he has played Pattaya before and draws the biggest crowd of the weekend.

Getting to Pattaya Beach

Pattaya sits about 150 km south-east of the capital, and getting there is the easy part of any Thailand itinerary built around the east coast, and every route in this Pattaya travel guide drops you within walking distance of the stage.

Beach Road runs one-way northbound and the city narrows it further for big events, so the sensible move on both nights is to get dropped on Second Road and walk the two minutes through to the sand.

Where to stay, and what it costs

November is high season on the Gulf coast, and the first weekend of the month is busier again. If you are still doing your Thailand vacation planning for this week, book tonight rather than on arrival. These are the four bases this Pattaya travel guide would pick from, cheapest walk-home option first.

Things to do in Pattaya between the sets

The music does not start until late afternoon, which leaves two full days free. The best of the things to do in Pattaya are all morning activities anyway.

The Koh Larn beaches are the obvious one. Ferries leave Bali Hai Pier for 30 baht and take about 45 minutes; speedboats do it in 15 for around 150–200 baht a head. Go on the first boat, take Samae or Nual beach rather than Tawaen, and be back on the 17:00 ferry in time for the opening sets. Our Koh Larn day trip guide has the pier and timetable detail.

On the mainland, the Sanctuary of Truth (500 baht) is the one sight in town that justifies the ticket — an entirely wooden, still-unfinished temple-palace on the headland at Naklua. Nong Nooch Tropical Garden (600 baht) and the Buddha Mountain at Khao Chi Chan are both half-day trips south. For the full list, our Pattaya and Jomtien guide covers the city beach by beach.

Where the jazz festival fits in a longer trip

Two nights in Pattaya slot neatly into the front of a cool-season trip. The city is close enough to Bangkok that you can land, sleep off the flight on the beach, catch both nights and still be in the capital by Sunday evening for a Bangkok street food crawl along Yaowarat.

The timing is good for a second reason. The jazz weekend opens a crowded month: the Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali Festival runs 7–15 November at Central Festival Pattaya Beach, Loy Krathong falls on 24 November, and the Pattaya International Fireworks Festival returns to the same beach on 27–28 November. One Pattaya travel guide, three festivals, all of them free to watch. Our Loy Krathong guide explains the krathong-floating etiquette if you are staying on into the month.

If you have longer, Pattaya is also the mainland gateway to the quieter Gulf. Koh Samet is two hours south-east, and the Thailand islands off Trat — Koh Chang, and the slow white-sand bays that make Koh Kood travel worth the extra ferry — are at their best from now until April. See our Trat and the eastern islands guide.

Practical tips for the two nights

Free, beachfront, and two walkable nights of music in the best month of the Thai year — the jazz festival is the kind of event that justifies rearranging a week around it. Among the best places to visit in Thailand this November, the central stretch of Pattaya Beach has a strong claim for the next two evenings.
